Stairs inside the rotunda at the University of Virginia. The hall features a Tuscan molding which accentuates the unique double curve of the stairs. The staircases, taking four months to build, were the most complex part of the Rotunda's restoration. The black walnut banisters are polished only by the natural oils of visitors' hands.
